02/06/2009: S&G files brief on behalf of the Friends Committee on National Legislation, the Presbyterian Church USA, the Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church, and the National Committee for Amish Religious Freedom in a case involving a Native American holy site
The brief argues that the Ninth Circuit incorrectly defined "substantial burdens" on religious practice and drastically limited the scope of statutory protections of religious freedom. A copy of the brief is available here. Storzer & Greene's press release can be found here. The Petition for a Writ of Certiorari is available here.
